Reflection One: Return To The Basics

In the early months of grief, I learned that my mind and body could not handle anything complicated.
So I went back to the basics, simple routines, small tasks, and predictable structure.
Not because I was regressing, but because my nervous system needed steadiness.

Making my bed counted.
Washing one dish counted.
Getting outside for five minutes counted.

The basics aren’t beneath you when you’re grieving. They’re what hold you together when everything else feels too big.
This is the season where the smallest things get to matter the most.

Reflection: When life feels overwhelming, simplify the day until it becomes doable.
